OneRepublic was welcomed to a packed house of fans who celebrated 18 years of their career and success with them in a huge party.

Ryan Tedder, recovered from the vocal problems that caused the cancellation of the Madrid show on the 14th, took to the stage to amaze the Portuguese fans who were at the Meo Arena yesterday.

After having been in Portugal in 2009 and 2014, the Americans came to revisit their many hits and their most recent songs. The concert did not have an opening act, Ella Henderson, who had been initially announced.

The show opened with Oasis“Don’t Look Back in Anger,” before OneRepublic took the stage with “Feel Again” from the album Native (2013), and so the show began, full of hits that have marked generations for 18 years, including “Kids,” “Good Life,” “Secrets,” “Stop and Stare,” “Apologize,” “Run,” and “I Ain’t Worried,” among others.

Midway through the concert, they moved to a stage in the center of the arena, where they performed more intimate versions of “Life in Color” and “Something I Need.” To the fans’ surprise, they threw autographed soccer balls in the colors of the Portuguese national team. If the audience wasn’t already won over, they certainly were.

On the main stage, Ryan Tedder took the opportunity to revisit collaborations with Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, Jonas Brothers, Adele, Tate McRae, and Rosalía, and to reveal his songwriting side with “Bleeding Love” and “Halo,” which he wrote for Leona Lewis and Beyoncé.

But it was back on the main stage, with “Love Runs Out” and “I Lived,” that the audience truly let loose, and the party was complete. Zach Filkins thrilled the fans with an excellent guitar solo before his biggest hit, “Counting Stars.” OneRepublic also unveiled “I Need Your Love” at the Meo Arena, scheduled for release in 2026.

The night closed with a fan going on stage during “If I Lose Myself,” before the curtain fell with Oasis“Wonderwall,” in a moving and beautiful finale.

Another excellent production from Everything is New.
