Silence 4 returned to Lisbon for two nights of reunion with their fans. As they mentioned several times during the show, it was a reunion with family, a night of emotions, memories, and happiness, evident on the faces of everyone who filled Portugal’s most important venue, the MEO Arena.
“Silence Becomes It,” released in 1998, one of the best-selling albums in Portugal, is a landmark in Portuguese music, confirming Silence 4 as one of the most important national bands, one that the Portuguese will not forget. The MEO Arena is proof of this: two nights of unity between fans and band, two shows that exceeded all expectations in the collective celebration of their 30-year career.

David Fonseca (vocals and guitar), Sofia Lisboa (vocals), Rui Costa (bass), and Tozé Pedrosa (drums) performed at the Super Bock Arena in Porto in November and now revisited their live performances in Lisbon, songs that the audience will never forget.
“Goodbye Tomorrow” opened the show, followed by “Old Letters,” “Dying Young,” and “Sextos Sentidos,” with the audience singing along to the band. The stage design and lighting were meticulously planned to complement the band and the music.

Then came “Borrow” and “Empty Happy Song,” from their second album, “Only Pain Is Real.” “Eu Não Sei Dizer,” a song in Portuguese—a requirement imposed by Universal Records—was an emotional moment of communion between band and audience, culminating in a hug between David and Sofia.
Sofia, who also suffered from the disease, made a very emotional appeal, urging us to become bone marrow donors. In the artist’s words, there is no better feeling than being a life donor.

This was followed by “Cry”, “A (Very) Little Respect”, “Angel Song”, “Not Brave Enough”, and “To Give”, which provided unique and unforgettable moments of connection with the fans. But the show was coming to an end, and Silence 4 chose to finish with “Only Pain Is Real”, “My Friends”, and “Sleepwalking Convict”.
However, the audience noisily called for an encore that included “Transplantation”, “Breeders”, another version of “A Little Respect”, “Borrow”, and “My Friends” again, to the delight of the Silence 4 “family”, who experienced every moment of this fantastic show.

Another excellent show from Primeira Linha.
