Lisbon Food Affair registers strong support

of National and Foreign Producers, Manufacturers and Industry

LISBON FOOD AFFAIR is the most recent national Marketplace for the areas of Food & Beverage, Horeca and Technologies for the Food Industry.

This new event is promoted by the AIP Foundation and will take place between the 12th and 14th of February, at FIL, with the presence of over a hundred companies already confirmed.

With a distinctive positioning and focus on three pillars – Innovation, Internationalization, and Sustainability –, LISBON FOOD AFFAIR is an excellent opportunity for the entire business fabric of the agri-food sector to meet new players, new brands and products, and new business geographies.
Of the registered companies, 43% represent the Food & Beverage sector, 33% the Horeca channel (suppliers of products and equipment for the Hotel and Restaurant Industry), and 14% represent the Equipment, Machinery, and Technologies sector for the Food Sector. Of these, 48% are new participations in industry events promoted at FIL.

Internationalization emerges as one of the main strategic axes of this event and seeks to position the national market in the global context. This bet is already beginning to bear fruit, with 16% of confirmed foreign companies coming from Belgium, Brazil, China, Denmark, Spain, Slovakia, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Sweden, Peru, and Poland.

These companies will be present at LISBON FOOD AFFAIR directly, in groups, or through official representations, setting up in the national and international market, and the entry of new brands and agrifood products and related products.

And as internationalization also takes place through demand, contacts and invitations were made to buyers in strategic markets relevant to Portugal, including digital platforms (marketplaces).
This selection includes buyers from Angola, Germany, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Cape Verde, China, Spain, France, Morocco, United Kingdom, Italy, USA, Poland, and Switzerland and who, through the B2B platform, will schedule meetings with the respective exhibitors.

The selection stems from a joint effort between the companies already registered at the fair, by AICEP – Portugal Global, by IAPMEI (Enterprise Europe Network – present in 60 countries), by  AHRESP, together with more than 500 Portuguese restaurants around the world and also, through an Internationalization Agency that works with the biggest European fairs.
