Poets from six different countries will talk about the subject “Earth: a poetics of us”, the theme of this year’s edition of the festival, which will feature, in addition to the honored writer, Boaventura de Sousa Santos, Heloísa Buarque de Hollanda, Luz Ribeiro, Ondjaki, Fado Bicha, TRANSarau and Judite Canha Fernandes, among others.

Among the various highlights of the program, the curator points out a table in which Mia Couto will participate with Boaventura de Sousa Santos, entitled “Pelas Epistemologias do Sul”, as well as another one, held in partnership with the Camões Institute and the Portuguese Cultural Center in Brasília, entitled “Itineraries of the poets of the moment”, with Heloisa Buarque de Holanda (Brazil), Judite Canha Fernandes (Portugal) and Enia Lipanga (Mozambique).

In all, there will be nine tables, six soirees, three workshops and three poetic shows that will make up this festival, which will also feature an awards ceremony, whose first place will be entitled to a trophy for participation and the publication of a book of poetry, launched at the 2022 Paraty International Literary Festival.

The program is open to the general public through the festival’s social networks. Enrolled poets will have access to three literary creation workshops, an exclusive poetic show, participation in the poetry competition, publication of the poem in the anthology “Terra: uma poética de Nós” and three copies of the book.
