The Malaposta Cultural Center resumes live shows, after the confinement period, with the Remna concert!

Winner of the “Revelation Award” of the French festival, “Printemps de Bourges” in 2005, REMNA performs for the first time live and solo in Malaposta. Saturday, July 4th at 6 pm, live music returns to the program of the Centro Cultural da Malaposta.
In his luggage he brings a new album, “Zona Zero”, Remna’s second original record, acclaimed by audiences and specialized critics.
One of the great names of the new generation of African music, REMNA performed last year at South by Southwest, taking his roots from Guinea Bissau and Senegal even further, passing through Cape Verde. He is the son of the great poet of Guinea, José Carlos Schwarz.
REMNA
A true nomad of soundscapes, it is today considered an African treasure by its peers. Born in Senegal, Remna Schwarz has lived in countries like Congo, Mali, Senegal, Guinea, Cape Verde, France, Cuba or even in the USA. Remna performed last year at the “Festival South By Southwest”, in Texas, the biggest music show in the American continent, receiving great reviews like that of Wobean Music, which dubbed his music “Great Pan African Music”.
In 2005 REMNA won the “Revelation Prize” from the French festival “Printemps de Bourges” and since then it has done the first part of artists like Youssou N’Dour, Ayo or Lokua Kanza.
In 2018, REMNA moved from Cape Verde to Portugal and edited its second album of originals “Zona Zero”, with presentation at the legendary B.leza, in Lisbon, in May 2019.
