Porto photography books awarded at the Graphis Design Awards
The editions “Livro Moldura Porto.” and “Catálogo de Fotografias Porto.”, both with graphic design by the Eduardo Aires design studio, were awarded the “gold” classification in the international awards promoted by the New York publisher Graphis.
The Livro Moldura Porto. was distinguished in the category of “Print Books” and the Catálogo de Fotografias Porto in the “Print Catalogs” category of the Graphis Design Annual 2022 awards.
Both are the result of a photographic competition about Porto, promoted by the Municipality in 2019 and which, in addition to the prize for the three best classified, provided for the publication of a book with the images admitted to the competition. 832 candidates were admitted, in a total of 2225 photographs, and these two publications were produced from there: the catalog containing all the images admitted to the competition and the book, a selection of the best works made by the competition jury, in a special edition in frame format.
The Graphis Awards are awarded annually by the New York-based publisher Graphis, which publishes all yearbooks with the most important works in graphic arts around the world and reward the best in design, photography, illustration and advertising .
