Loony Johnson performs at Coliseu dos Recreios
Loony Johnson, one of the most respected names in Cape Verdean music over the last 20 years, takes the stage at the Coliseu dos Recreios, in Lisbon, on October 20, 2023, for the great live presentation of his fourth album – “Mocinho”.
This concert will be the artist’s debut, in what is one of the most prestigious concert halls in the country, thus celebrating a career spanning more than two decades, full of work and successes.
Being one of the most awaited shows by the public that accompanies him, the first concert in his own name by Loony Johnson, at the Coliseu, promises to be a real party where the characteristic rhythms of the musical styles that the singer has come to accustom us to will not be lacking: kizomba, ghetto zouk, afro beat, afro house, batuco, and funaná.
The repertoire will include themes from the most recent record work such as “Paké” and “Lua”, but also the hits that everyone knows by heart: “L in The Air”, “Vou Ser Teu”, “Undi Da Ki Panha”, “Eu Te Amo”, “Da Kel Bu Toki” and the classic “Homi Grandi”.
