From the 1st to the 5th of March, the Municipality of Loulé was again present at the most important tourism fair in the country, the BTL – Bolsa de Turismo de Lisboa, this year on three fronts: in its own name through a new stand, at the Espaço Algarve and at the Geoparque Algarvensis stand.
During this event, the Municipality made known to the public the main potential of the municipality from its cultural heritage, gastronomy, creative tourism, handicrafts, animation, events, beaches, natural heritage, and many other aspects that make this a territory where diversity reigns.
A replica of the Loulé Market turret and the multicolored cloths of the MED Festival were highlighted as the image of the new promotional stand, highly praised by visitors. With the slogan “Loulé, Aqui e Agora”, in addition to the delivery of information material and explanations by the municipal technicians who were here to support the dissemination, the space also received the presentation of initiatives such as the MED Festival, the Popular Marches de Quarteira, the Festa da Espiga de Salir, the program of sports and entertainment events, the Chocolate Fair, among others.
Business projects such as the production of wines at Quinta da Tôr, sustainable agriculture at Quinta do Freixo, the Aquashow theme park, and the recent “Rural Digital Nomads” also had a privileged space for publicity.
On the other hand, Loulé Criativo brought a little of what their work is, publicizing Casa da Empreita through the hand of the artisans working live and in color, the luthier Manuel Amorim with the Cordophones Workshop, or the delights of Algarve sweets.
One of the most important moments of this Loulé participation in BTL was the presentation of the 19th edition of the MED Festival, which took place at Espaço Algarve, with the announcement of the first names on the poster, which was joined by one of the artists, the musician Pedro Mafama.
“This was certainly one of the most significant presences of our county in this event. We had the premiere of a fantastic space, a stand that makes a difference for the creativity with which it was conceived. We had a diversified program, with various activities and the presence of many people from Loulé who also wanted to make their contribution to the dissemination of this wealth that is our municipality. Without a doubt, Loulé had, during these days, a showcase of excellence and an opportunity to attract even more visitors”, considered the mayor, Vítor Aleixo.
