Loulé Swimming Open ends with new national record

The Open of Loulé of swimming ended today with a new national record, this time in the women’s relay 4×100 meters styles, the day after another Portuguese team set a new maximum record in 4×100 free.

Camila Rebelo, Catarina Monteiro, Victoria Kaminskaya and Francisca Martins finished today in second place, behind a Spanish team, setting a new national maximum in 4.12.62 minutes.

Francisca Martins registered yet another national record, of under-17 juniors, in the 200 meters freestyle, with 2.03.11, on the last day of three competitions in Loulé, bringing together Portuguese, Spanish and Brazilian swimmers.

The men’s 4×100 meters relay won the race, merit of Gabriel Lopes, Miguel Nascimento, Francisco Quintas and Tomás Lopes, with João Costa adding a new first place in the 100 meters back.

The general classification by teams left Portugal in second place, with 954 points, far from Spain, first with 1,626, but also from Brazil, with 473, with the Portuguese having a total of 45 podiums over the three days, eight of them with triumphs.
