Lua Vermelha: New Generation premieres today on Prime Video
Prime Video and OPTO SIC premiere today, October 31st, Red Moon: New Generation, the highly anticipated return of one of the most iconic series on Portuguese television.
Inspired by the universe that captivated thousands of fans in 2010, this new generation of the Portuguese vampire series promises to combine the original DNA with a more contemporary approach, aiming to cross borders and showcase new talent.
The cast of the reboot of the youth television series includes the return of Mafalda Luís de Castro as Isabel, Rui Porto Nunes as Afonso, António Camelier as Henrique and Catarina Mago as Beatriz.
The new cast is composed of new protagonists such as Inês Pires Tavares as Sofia, Bia Wong as Sun, Rui Pedro Silva as Tomás, Henrique Mello as Lucas, Rita Bretão as Beni and Henrique de Carvalho as Hélio. The series also features well-known figures from Portuguese television, namely Sofia Arruda as Teresa, Carolina Carvalho as Eunice, André Leitão as Francisco, Rui Unas as Sancho, Oceana Basílio as Brigida and Miguel Damiãoas Otelo.
In Lua Vermelha: Nova Geração (Red Moon: New Generation), sixteen years after leaving the past behind, Afonso and Isabel see their peaceful life in Sintra shaken when their daughter, Sofia, becomes the center of a new supernatural threat. Gifted with special abilities and unknowingly linked to an ancient war, Sofia will have to uncover hidden secrets and confront a dark force that could destroy humanity. As danger approaches, her parents can no longer hide the truth from her.
