Luca Argel releases “Anos Doze”
The new advance of the Visita album
After the release of “Lampedusa“, the first advance of Luca Argel’s new studio album, entitled Visita, now arrives “Anos Doze“.
A theme that is part of, in another version, the album Conversa de Fila (2019) and which is revisited in this new work by the singer and composer in an intimate and complicit version in which Luca Argel is accompanied by the keys of Bahian pianist Pri Azevedo.
The new album Visita will be released on October 18th and in this new work, the Portuguese-Brazilian singer and composer revisits, in new versions, a series of songs from previous albums, as well as some partnerships that had never been recorded in his voice.
This song was originally released on the album “Conversa de Fila” (2019), and to this day it is my most listened-to song online, most requested at shows, and most re-recorded by followers in videos on the internet. The reason for all this is childhood nostalgia. The lyrics are full of humorous references to games and television programs from the early 2000s, which marked an entire generation. The arrangement of this new version reinforced, with musical quotes, and the references already present in the lyrics, and ended up being even more fun than the original.

The new album Visita will be presented live in November in Porto, the city that welcomed Luca Argel when he moved to Portugal more than 10 years ago, and in Lisbon. On November 3rd, Luca Argel and Pri Azevedo take the stage at the Salão Ático – Coliseu Porto Ageas and, a few days later, on November 7th, they perform at the Nova Cultura UNL Auditorium (Campolide Center).
Tickets for the Porto show are now available. In the case of the Lisbon show, they will be on sale very soon.
Parallel to the songs from Visita, on September 6th, Luca Argel launches the first episode of a MiniDoc divided into 5 episodes. Filmed during the album’s recording sessions, this MiniDoc reveals to the public a bit of the story behind the songs and artists. The first episode begins with a rude note that Luca wrote to his parents when he was a child, and tells how he met Pri, many years before they both arrived in Portugal or even dreamed of playing together. The remaining episodes add layers to this story that materializes in this new album full of complicity and stories to tell.
