Luciana Diniz stamped, at the beginning of this Tuesday afternoon, direct qualification for the final of the equestrian obstacle jumping competition of the Olympic Games, after an ‘immaculate’ qualifying phase, in which she did not suffer any penalty.

The Portuguese-Brazilian athlete, who competes with the horse Vertigo du Desert, completed the race in 85.82 seconds, which earned her a place among the top 30 and the consequent ‘ticket’ for the medal dispute.

The 50-year-old rider, the only representative of Portugal in this category, will thus return to action in the Japanese capital of Tokyo this Wednesday, from 11:00 am (mainland Portugal time), where she will be able to fight for the goal she assumed since early.
