Lucy Angel and Anabela Lopes confirmed at Comic Con Portugal 2024

Portuguese authors are two more names confirmed for the event, with the support of Saída de Emergency.

Cosplay Experience at UBBO with Comic Con Portugal

Cosplay is, in addition to the simple interpretation of characters, a process of creation and dedication to creating costumes and props. Until January 28th, visitors to UBBO, in Amadora, can see an exhibition of 10 costumes and props, as well as an exhibition of photographs.

To end ExpoCosplay by Comic Con Portugal on a high note, we saved the best for last. In the central square, there will be workshops, talks, performances, international attractions and the presence of 15 artists linked to the world of Cosplay. Saturday and Sunday will also feature a very special guest, Pretzl Cosplay. The Dutch woman is well-known internationally, she has been a judge in international Cosplay competitions and is a reference for anyone who wants to learn more about this fascinating art.

On Sunday there will be a parade and competition open to the public, with prizes being awarded. The host of the event will be the curator of the Cosplay area at Comic Con Portugal, Angélica Elfic. The official regulations can be consulted here.

In addition to UBBO, the initiative has a partnership with The Hood space, EPOPCULTURE and Popculture Agency, with the presence of eight agency cosplayers. It will feature content from Aniplay, Silver Blade Academy, Instituto de Magia Português and Connect. At the weekend, photographer Nuno Gomes will be present with a photo studio for cosplayers and visitors, free of charge.

The objective of the initiative is to provide a complete experience for Cosplay lovers and, at the same time, make the art known to the general public. See the complete program below:
