A new date has been announced in Porto for the show Underwater by Ludovico Einaudi. The concerts on the 21st at the Coliseu dos Recreios, in Lisbon, and on the 22nd and 23rd of July at the Super Bock Arena, in Porto, respectively, sold out in less than a month and, due to the great demand for tickets, the composer returns to Cidade Invicta.
In addition to his most recent work, Underwater, released in 2022, a special album that marked his return to solo piano recording after two decades of exploring other musical possibilities, Einaudi will also offer his audience interpretations of previous albums in a personal choice for these shows.
The musician and composer are going through a particularly important phase of his career, having received fair applause from the public and the critic’s thanks to the successful soundtracks for Nomadland and The Father, two films of considerable impact.
The celebrated Italian pianist has a special relationship with the Portuguese public, who always flock to his performances in droves, selling out the venues in just a few weeks. In this more intimate project, a concert of deep emotions is to be expected.
