Luís Fialho has just released his new single “Vem ter Comigo”, now available on all digital platforms. Written and composed in collaboration with Khiaro and Mário Monginho, the song refers to a love story experienced in Alentejo, the region where the artist is from.
“Vem ter Comigo” tells the story of a boy who falls in love with a girl from Lisbon, who spends her summer vacation in Alentejo, at her grandmother’s house. The young man does everything to win the girl’s heart, but the end of summer complicates a happy ending for this romance that seemed destined to succeed.
Musically, the song is a fusion of pop and cante alentejano, standing out for Luís Fialho’s interpretation, which imprints his unique style rooted in the traditions of his homeland. The track ends with the participation of an Alentejo choir, highlighting the cultural influences of the artist. “People received this song very well,” says Luís Fialho, after the live presentation in his first auditorium in Lisbon on September 21, which was sold out. “They came to talk to me after the show and praised the idea of including an Alentejo choir in a pop song.”
The single is part of a broader project, with an album release planned for 2025, where Luís Fialho will continue to explore his musical influences, from cante alentejano to fado. The music video for “Vem ter Comigo” is also already available on the artist’s YouTube channel, reinforcing the visual and emotional connection to his hometown.
A native of São Manços, near Évora, Luís Fialho has been combining the traditions of cante alentejano with Portuguese popular music. His first single, “Tardes Contigo”, released in September 2023, garnered over 100,000 views in just a few weeks. In March 2024, he released the song “Milagre do Santo”, a tribute to his land, with more than 115,000 views. His career was also highlighted by his participation in The Voice Portugal 2023, where he demonstrated a strong ability to connect with the audience.
Now, with the release of “Vem ter Comigo”, Luís Fialho continues to expand his musical identity, laying the groundwork for his highly anticipated debut album.
