Luís Saraiva and Rafaela Fonseca are national champions of the marathon

Athletes Luís Saraiva and Rafaela Fonseca are the new national champions of the marathon, both for the first time in a race that took place in Palmela, Setúbal.

Sporting de Braga athlete Luís Saraiva held the race 2:18.08 hours, the best time in the race since 2013, by Rui Pedro Silva, which took place in Porto. In second place was Fábio Oliveira from São João da Serra, with a time of 2: 21.53, followed by João Antunes from Prime Running, with a time of 2:27.46 hours.

In the women’s Marathon, Rafaela Fonseca from São Salvador do Campo was the winner with 2:51.37 hours, in a race that she did almost all by herself. Vera Nunes was second and last, performing the race in 3:21.13 hours.
