Macau International Short Film Festival from 1 to 8 December

Between 1 and 8 December, the D. Pedro V Theater opens its doors again for what is the 11th edition of the Macau International Short Film Festival, organized by Creative Macau, which includes local and international productions.

Altogether, of the 160 short films and nine music videos that are part of this year’s program, 132 finalist works are part of the “Official Selection” contest in the Shorts and Volume competitions.

The Macau International Short Film Festival is made with local and international short productions on a low budget but of the highest quality. Of the 4,232 works received, the finalist lists called “Official Selection” were created with 132 works, to be displayed from 2 to 7 December.

On the opening day, the audience is expected to burst out laughing, with the screenings of the comedies “Amore, Non È como Pensi” (Italy), by Sergiy Pudich and “Summertime” (France), by Andra Tévy.

In addition to the “Official Selection”, with 132 films in competition, there will also be the exhibition of another 28 works in the “Expanded Cinema” section, which includes the festival’s two opening fictions.

Five more fictions by international directors will also be shown, eleven works forged at the Film Schools of the University of Macau, six at the University of Silesia (Poland) and 13 works of modern Iranian cinema, curated by Kaveh Jahed.
