The three Gold Awards and a Grand Award given to Macau were the largest number in a year collected by tourism in the city.
During the ceremony, which this year had to take place online due to the covid-19 pandemic, the Directorate of Tourism Services (DST) received two awards and the Macau Tourism Training Institute and the game and hotel operator MGM China won one each, the authorities of the territory indicated in a statement.
Macau’s tourism services received a Gold Award in the category of Digital Marketing Campaign.
The other Gold Award won by DST is related to a campaign in the United States “Café Móvel de Macau 2019”. In other words, a trailer in San Francisco decorated with Macao themes with typical Macanese food.
The remaining prizes went to the Macau Tourism Training Institute in the Human Capital Development Initiative category and MGM China in the Human Capital Development category.
