The musical Mães premieres today in a solidarity rehearsal, with four talented and fun actresses, Ana Cloe, Gabriela Barros, Raquel Tillo and Tânia Alves, a musical that reminds us “Having a baby is just the beginning… Being a mother is for life”.
If you want to laugh and have fun, don’t miss Mães (Mothers), staged by Ricardo Neves-Neves, who brings to the Villaret Theater the Portuguese version of this great Broadway hit, by Sue Fabisch, starring the fantastic Ana Cloe, Gabriela Barros, Raquel Tillo and Tânia Alves.
This is the story of three mothers and a pregnant woman, together at a baby shower where they share experiences, visions, challenges and pleasures of motherhood. A musical, full of super fun but also tender moments where we share the friendship of these four women.
A pregnant woman full of fears, doubts, preconceived ideas and hopes, with an overprotective mother who is anxious about being a grandmother, who sees some of her ideas being called into question by her friends, an ambitious lawyer constantly juggling between her career and home life, a recently divorced woman trying to balance family life, work and her recent separation and a full-time mother of five children, on a journey that is both fun and affectionate, a rollercoaster of emotions, laughter and lots of clothes to wash.
If you can, don’t miss this musical, it’s worth it.
