Magician Helder Guimarães nominated for the Webby awards
The Portuguese magician Helder Guimarães was nominated in the category of Best Narrative Experience in the Area of Virtual Events of the Webby Awards, a ceremony created by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences with the aim of distinguishing the best that is done in the artistic and scientific circles on the Internet.
The appointment of Helder Guimarães happened due to ‘The Present’, a show made from the Zoom platform created from the inactivity of theaters due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Helder Guimarães created the show inspired by his own life, when a health problem in his childhood forced him to stay at home for about a month. The Present was seen by more than 14,000 people.
Voting for the Webby awards is already underway and everyone can participate until the 6th of May.
