The 6th edition of Maia Blues Fest, promoted by the Department of Culture of the Maia City Council with production by Trovas Soltas, will take place between the 6th, 7th and 8th of September at the Forum da Maia Exterior Auditorium, with free entry.
This edition of Maia Blues Fest will be another milestone in the cultural structure of the municipality of Maia and the metropolitan area of Porto. It promises as previous editions have been, to be an unforgettable celebration, further strengthening its position as one of the city’s main cultural events. This celebration is due to the varied group of national and international artists who once again feature on the lineup.
From Europe, we will have artists coming from Spain and Belgium (in addition to Portugal) and, as when talking about blues we always have to talk about its elementary roots, we will have the presence of a North American artist. On the last day of the festival, the public present will be able to witness a unique and unmissable concert created specifically for Maia Blues Fest: the Maia Blues Fest Band. And what is it about?
MAIA BLUES FEST BLUES BAND
The Maia Blues Fest Blues Band is preparing to provide an incredible show, the result of the workshops held. Expectations are high that, in this edition, there will be even more participants. Three Combo/Blues workshops will be held to put together, together with the students, a show with four themes to be presented during the festival. This event is directed and coordinated by Budda Guedes, will last three days and will culminate with a concert. Participants will be school students aged 14 and over who play an instrument.
In addition to good music, the public will be able to enjoy a street food area to support the festival. Several gastronomic options will be available, providing a complete and tasty experience for everyone present.
