The world’s biggest event in the music industry already has tickets on sale

More than 260 artists from all over the world, 520 publishers and distributors, four hundred government and educational institutions, 800 agents, more than 610 managers, and 300 producers, who will be joined by around 1250 companies from more than 50 countries, will be in Porto for WOMEX – Worldwide Music Expo 2021. The biggest event in the music industry takes place from October 27th to 31st and concert tickets are on sale now.

In all, there will be six dozen “showcase” shows in eight rooms across the city. Passes to attend concerts of these world music can be purchased in two modes.

In order to “celebrate creativity and portray the vast musical diversity the world has to offer”, WOMEX offers passes with access to Teatro Rivoli and Teatro Nacional S. João, where Boi Akih, Rodrigo Cuevas, or Mateus Aleluia will perform. Each of the spaces hosts three concerts a day during the festival.

Anyone who wants to watch performances by Alogte Oho & His Sounds of Joy, Cimafunk or Pongo, among others, can purchase tickets for the concerts that will take place at Teatro Sá da Bandeira, Hard Club, Coliseu do Porto, in the tent at Praça D. João I and at Cinema Passos Manuel.

In addition to the “showcases”, which aim to highlight “from the rediscovery of musical traditions to the latest artistic innovations”, the Womex 2021 brings diversified musical meetings, a trade fair, lectures, and films, in a program with an epicenter at Alfândega do Porto.
