Europride is the most anticipated and iconic celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in Europe. With a tradition that dates back nearly three decades, this annual event has become a symbol of diversity, inclusion and pride for people of all sexual orientations and gender identities.
This year, from the 7th to the 17th of September and under the motto “Equality from the Heart”, the island of Malta will be the host destination of this festival full of colour, joy and demand, welcoming thousands of visitors who fight for LGBTQ+ rights and reinforce bonds of solidarity across Europe. This will be possible thanks to the support of the Government of Malta and the Parliamentary Secretariat for Reforms and Equality, which support and promote LGBTIQ+ equality.
According to the United Nations Human Rights Office, Malta is considered a benchmark in terms of LGBT rights, which makes it a pioneer in the implementation of inclusive policies. Therefore, this new edition of Europride 2023 promises to be an unforgettable experience and a platform to raise awareness of the challenges that the LGBTQ+ community still faces; and there will be a series of events such as concerts, exhibitions, and conferences that will guarantee the fun of all participants.
