Lazy Sessions Guadalupe continues tomorrow with Manel Cruz, Ocenpsiea and King Fu. On the 25th, it is the turn of B Fachada, No!On and CelesteMariposa to take the stage set up in Parque de Guadalupe, in Braga. From 15:00 to 21:00. Free entry.
Manel Cruz needs no introduction. Portuguese vocalist, guitarist, and lyricist with more than 20 years of career divided between Ornatos Violeta, Pluto, Foge Foge Bandido, and Supernada, launches in his own name, in 2019, with the album “Vida Nova“.
From the host city of Lazy Sessions Guadalupe comes Ocenpsiea, a very young musical formation that aims to explore new sounds through the mix of acoustic sounds with electronics and grooves ranging from jazz to hip-hop, exploring tonal and modal planes. The DJ on duty on the 18th of June in King Fu, is an incessant music lover and a DJ with an elegant style and refined technique that we can also hear weekly on the OMEGA3 program of Rádio Universitária do Minho (RUM), whose mission is to promote electronic music, as well as new producers and DJs.
If Manel Cruz needs no introduction, there is no other figure like B Fachada in Portuguese popular music of the 21st century. Composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, he has been noted for an amazing rhythm of editions, through which he often subverts the canon and converts the dogmatic ones, having reached the masterpiece “Rapazes e Raposas” in 2020. B Fachada will share the stage, on the 25th of June, with No!On, which is how to say with Marco Pereira and Márcio Alfama, an explosive duo that sets fire to any audience and any venue, using electronics, percussions, and sonic guitars as instruments. In the last Lazy Session Guadalupe of 2022, DJ CelesteMariposa does the honors of the house. Owner of one of the most complete collections of PALOP records, his sets are designed to dance, sweat, scream, and celebrate music from the 60s to today, from Marrabente to Semba, from Funaná to Gumbé, from Socopé to Coladeira.
Originating in Porto (2014), the Lazy Sessions headed to Braga, in 2018, receiving the nickname Guadalupe for taking place in the Park with the same name, an almost unknown space in the city, where more than 3,000 people passed through that year. , in an eclectic and relaxed atmosphere. The curators of the first edition were Adolfo Lúxuria Canibal, Branko, and Manel Cruz.
In 2019, Lazy Sessions Guadalupe gained another day and an hour in length, receiving 5,000 people! During the Saturday afternoons of June, names such as Ana Deus (Três Tristes Tigres), Surma, KESO, JP Simões, Memória de Peixe, Grandfather’s House, among others, passed through the stage set up in Guadalupe Park.
Lazy Sessions Guadalupe wants to continue to grow, in 2022, with a relaxed and urban spirit, but always in a sustainable way. Addressing people of all ages, from groups of friends and families to visitors and tourists passing through the city, the Lazy Sessions Guadalupe promise to liven up, once again, the afternoons of Braga, promoting Portuguese musical values, until the sun. post, in one of the most enchanting natural spaces of the city, located on top of the hill with the same name and with a privileged view over Braga.
