Manel Cruz returns to Teatro Tivoli BBVA with unreleased songs

The artist is preparing for September 17th, alone, to give voice to a show that will be as exciting as it is irreverent.
“Manel dos Orantos” returns to the stage this year to present new songs under his name, but also to revisit old songs that leave the audience humming along.
On September 17th, at the Tivoli BBVA Theater, Manel Cruz will perform solo and deliver unreleased songs to the public, which can be heard there exclusively. It is the first time that the artist brings to light the sounds he has been working on, in a performance without a band. Raw.
In 2020, Manel Cruz presented the album Vida Nova at the Tivoli BBVA Theater, the musician’s first album under his name, he is an essential figure in national music and one of the country’s greatest lyricists. The return to this room gives a stage to Manel’s autonomy and independence of thought, as well as to the poetic and introspective lyrics, which come to life in the artist’s irreverent style and bohemian and melancholic voice:
“It is a concert that aims to create a space in which all the songs are presented in the most raw and bare form possible, privileging, through fragility, their most intimate side”, highlights Manel Cruz.
The ‘Ornatos Violeta’ project, of which Manel Cruz is the lead singer, continues to be the main reference with which the musician is associated. The group released one of the most important albums in the history of national rock, “O Monstro Precisa de Amigos”, which remains a reference in the music scene.
Other projects such as “Foge Bandido”, “Pluto” and “Supernada”, absorbed Manel Cruz’s genius touch, as well as the experimental stamp that defines him artistically to this day. In addition to music, the artist from Porto Alegre also creates graphic works, such as illustrations and paintings.
Manel Cruz’s sublime musical resume is back on the road and promises a “raw” concert that will have to do with sound, light and poetry.
