Maputo Book Fair starts today

The initiative is organized for the sixth consecutive year by the Municipal Council of Maputo and is anchored until Saturday at www.feiradolivro.co.mz.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he 2020 edition has Paulina Chiziane as an honored writer, also celebrating 30 years of the publication of Balada de amor ao vento, the first novel published by a Mozambican woman, announces the Union of Portuguese-speaking Capital Cities, a partner of the program.

Adequate to the current context, the fair includes a debate on the topic “Post-covid Portuguese Language Literature – challenges and perspectives”, scheduled for Saturday at 16:00 (15:00 in Lisbon).

Mozambique has an accumulated total of 11,331 cases of covid-19, 79 dead and 9,165 recovered (80% of the total).
