The gnration space in Braga will feature performances by American guitarist Marc Ribot of Portugal’s Rafael Toral and the collective Irreversible Entanglements in the first months of 2019, the hall announced today.
The program of 2019 starts on January 18 with musician Rafael Toral, who will “revisit” the album ‘Wave Field’, 1995, now reissued and remastered by Drag City on vinyl.
On February 6, the free jazz collective Irreversible Entanglements, which joins Keir Neuringer, Camae Ayewa (also known as Moor Mother) and Luke Stewart, will perform in Braga.
Eleven days later it is the turn of the project Marc Ribot’s Ceramic Dog, which reunites the guitarist to the drummer Ches Smith and the musician Shahzad Ismaliy.
The first quarter of 2019 will also bring to the gnration names such as artists Lucas Paris, Eli Keszler and Ryoichi Kurokawa, while the French Maotik will present a new work in the INL gallery, the result of an artistic residency at the Iberian Nanotechnology Laboratory.
Also in the programming of the gnration, for the beginning of 2019, is the bracarense Angela Police, who will act on March 16.
