SINATRA A WANDO and other Bossas” is a project by Brazilian actor and singer Marcelo Serrado. Premiered in the first half of 2021, with 3 highly successful unique performances in Rio de Janeiro, followed by a tour of the country’s main concert halls, it now arrives in Portugal, where it will be presented at Teatro Maria Matos on the 14th and 15th of October.

Based on a concept that brings together a repertoire of North American and Brazilian music classics, created and performed by the actor accompanied by the band Conexão Rio, the show features a selection of standards made famous by Frank Sinatra and classics from Bossa Nova and Popular Music Brazilian. Songs such as “New York, NewYork”, “Under my Skin”, “Fly Me To The Moon”, “One Note Samba”, “Caça e Caçador”, “Meu Sangue Ferve Por Você”, “Fogo” and “Paixão”, among others, are part of a familiar repertoire that quickly wins over the public.

Born in Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Serrado began his career on television in the 1980s. With more than 30 years of career, he has an extensive CV that highlights several unforgettable characters in television, cinema and theatre. One of the most recognized faces on Brazilian television, Marcelo Serrado has, in recent years, developed his producer and musician side.

The band Conexão Rio was founded in 2002. Since then, it has been touring Rio’s stages under its name and with several guests, such as Vinicius Cantuaria, Celso Fonseca, Verônica Sabino, Patricia Mellody, Raul Mascarenhas, Léo Gandelman, Mauro Senise, Ricardo Silveira and Vittor Santos among others. The band has released two albums about the work of Chico Buarque and João Bosco, both with great success with specialized critics.
