Casa Independente opens the month of March with a Take Over from the team to its communication and programming highlights. This is Marcos’ month to choose and take care of the plants in the House and the highlights of the weekends.
It is in the midst of chaos that new balances are found. Almost as we enter Spring, we open doors to the transdisciplinary collective TAUMKAOSAKI, which promises to amaze us with a party, on the 1st and 2nd of March, always at 11pm. TAUMKAOSAKI makes its last occupation of this Lisbon season at Casa Independente to finally follow the caravan for the new season “back to its homeland” on Brazilian soil. A night of warm celebration for the 2 years of KAOS installed in Lisbon, which resulted in great excitement and memorable cultural movements.
For tonight, MÍLIAN DOLLA, MUORDEP, POSEATIVA, ZAYA, Alex aka XANA MODAS and HIPERBOLE join together for a mix of visual, sound and performance kaos with ties, collective joining, climate without climax and lots of fun, which will remain in memory. With the doors wide open, we continued dancing to house, Afrobeat and Latin sounds from LADYGBROWN.
The heat of hot days is arriving (at least indoors, at Casa Independente). For this reason, on the weekend of March 8th and 9th, we handed over the dance floor to Brazilian music and SUGU’s Afrobeat, in an impetuous gesture that will reach, the following day, the most different latitudes by the hand of SELECTA ALICE.
And also, Sunday, March 10th, we will be with the Associação AMOR Cultural Beneficente e Religiosa, which will promote the party Mulher Coroada: Celebrando o AMOR, complete with a special program.
With LIL BUKKAKE and RITA SÓ we are guaranteed that there is always a reason to dance. There is no body that can resist this crossing of different musical geographies in an exercise of collective happiness, at Casa, on the 15th and 16th of March, at 11pm.
We continue March, on the 22nd and 23rd, with nights of mind-blowing rhythms. First with PIRIQUITOS MANY and their sounds, which can range from disco R&B to the African continent. Then, we continue with GADUTRA, which since releasing its album “lagarta”, has given us nothing but reasons to admire its creative multidisciplinary approach.
When we get used to it, we no longer want anything else. For the last days of the month, on the 29th and 30th of March, we raise our spirits again with the power combo that brings together the Angolan rapper SIRSCRAH and MACDIFA and we finish with the powerful electronics of LEO SOULFLOW.
