Margarida Campelo releases today “Mexe-te Mais um Pouco,” a version of the song popularized by Ágata in the late 80s. The song is now available on all digital platforms.
The recording of the song follows Margarida Campelo and Femme Falafel’s concert at Musicbox in Lisbon last December, where the artist played it live for the first time. She was later challenged by Benjamim to go to the studio to record the version that is now being released, with the musician credited for the production.
In Margarida Campelo’s words: “Benjamim produced the song and gave it a more modern, more disco tone and less explicitly 80s, while respecting the 80s that exist within me and in the song itself.” In addition to the version available on digital platforms, a longer version was produced specifically for dance floors.
The song, authored by Luís Filipe Aguiar, became famous in the voice of Ágata in 1987 and would later be included in the album “Amor Latino,” from 1989.
