On fado night at Casino Estoril, scheduled for next Wednesday, January 22, starting at 10 pm, Maria da Nazaré and António Passão will take the stage of Lounge D accompanied by Diogo Lucena Quadros on guitar, Luís Roquette on viola and Francisco Gaspar on the bass guitar. Admission is free.
Maria da Nazaré
Maria da Nazaré started singing in the Campo de Ourique neighbourhood, in Lisbon. In the late sixties, he won the Great Night of Fado twice. At 17, he toured the country. Her artistic life led her to travel around the globe and sing in the most prestigious venues in the Lisbon region.
It was soon in childhood that António Passão identified himself with fado. Later, at the age of 19, he recorded his first record. His constant work of research and promotion of fado was reflected in almost one hundred and a half concerts of Fado and Portuguese Guitar, both in Portugal and abroad. Access to Casino Estoril is free, and from 10 pm, it is for people over 14 years old, and over 10 years old accompanied by their parents. In the game areas, it is for over 18 years.
