Maria Emília returns to Lisbon on 7th December

It’s on December 7th that we can hear Maria Emilia’s new single live at Capitólio, in a concert that promises to warm up the cold days ahead.

“Fado Enamorado”, published on October 26th, is the theme of the advance of the new album — written, composed and produced by Tiago Machado — which marks the return of one of the most beautiful voices of the new generation of fado.

A song that, in his words, “represents a post-pandemic era. Hope, joy and willingness to live everything that has not been experienced during these two years. It also represents Maria Emília, who discovered throughout this time the many Marias that live in her, in addition to Maria Fadista. Today is a happy day, because everything has started again.”

In this concert, the fado singer will visit not only her debut album “Casa de Fado” but also some themes from the new album, which is scheduled for edition next year.

On stage she will be accompanied by José Geadas on Portuguese guitar, Bernardo Saldanha on fado viola, Francisco Gaspar on bass and André Silva on drums.

After releasing the album “Casa de Fado” in 2018, he stepped on numerous stages in Portugal but also abroad, passing through Spain, Algeria, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Brazil, New York, South Africa, Sweden or Holland, always with huge success.
