Mariana van Zeller nominated for Ambies Podcast Academy awards
‘Trafficked with Mariana van Zeller’, the podcast that accompanies the Portuguese journalist’s homonymous series on National Geographic, is nominated in the ‘Best Interview Podcast’ category, competing with six other titles.
In this podcast, which features six episodes in the first season, Mariana van Zeller interviews former traffickers and people involved in the various black markets that the journalist addresses in the television series. With an average duration of 40 to 50 minutes, the episodes immerse themselves in difficult stories with first-person testimonies, covering everything from opiate trafficking to art smuggling.
In the Apple App Store, the podcast has hundreds of reviews and a maximum rating of five stars. It is also available on other audio platforms.
The series ‘Trafficked with Mariana van Zeller’ premiered at National Geographic Portugal on February 13 and the podcast was designed to accompany television production, in a different format.
