From the 11th to the 14th of February, the festival “Montepio a vez o amor” presents shows in 14 cities, with concerts by countless artists who have been part of the soundtrack of the Portuguese people over the last few years.
The 9th edition of the “Montepio sometimes love” festival is practically starting and promises to celebrate Valentine’s Day with unique concerts. One of them will be the debut of a new concept. The festival seduced one of the greatest Portuguese singer-songwriters to perform an unprecedented show with the love songs that marked his life and Jorge Palma embraced the challenge in the blink of an eye.
The unavoidable Jorge Palma will take to the stage at Sagres Campo Pequeno, in Lisbon, on the 11th of February and at Coliseu Porto AGEAS, on the 14th of February, to premiere the unprecedented “As Canções de Amor de Jorge Palma”.
On stage, Jorge Palma will be accompanied by an orchestra conducted by Maestro Cesário Costa and by the singers Marisa Liz, Márcia, and A garota não who, together with the musician, will cover a repertoire of love songs carefully chosen for the occasion and which will fill of emotions to the audiences of Campo Pequeno and Coliseu do Porto.
The festival “Montepio sometimes o amor” takes place in 14 cities that will host unique concerts by countless artists who have been part of the soundtrack of the Portuguese people over the last few years.
From the 11th to the 14th of February, it will be possible to watch performances by Aurea, Cristina Branco & João Paulo Esteves da Silva, Fernando Daniel, GNR, João Pedro Pais, Lena D’Água, Luísa Sobral, Mafalda Veiga, NEEV, Paulo Gonzo, Pedro Abrunhosa and Syro, in addition to the unprecedented show “As Canções de Amor de Jorge Palma”.
This edition’s cast promises to warm hearts in love and remind the public of the importance of sharing special moments with those we love most. Reference artists, with longer and unavoidable careers, are joined by new national music talents who make up a diversified line-up with many hours of good Portuguese music.
The “Montepio à Vezes o Amor” festival is a cultural event dreamed up and realized by the agencies Produtores Associados and Locomotiva Azul, and embraced since 2015 by the Montepio Associação Mutualista as naming sponsor. In 2021 the festival was distinguished with the Marketeer Award for Event of the Year.
