Marisa Monte Presents Phonica in Lisbon

Marisa Monte returns to Portugal for a unique concert on September 18th at the MEO Arena, with the show Phonica, one of the most ambitious and remarkable projects of her career.

Phonica by Marisa Monte & Orchestra live is a rare encounter between Brazilian popular music and symphonic language. On stage, Marisa Monte joins her band with a 55-piece symphony orchestra, under the musical direction and conducting of maestro André Bachur, creating a true pop symphony where the erudite and the popular coexist with naturalness, emotion, and artistic precision.

Described by the artist herself as a rare and special project, Phonica proposes a new interpretation of Marisa Monte’s work, exploring the dialogue between tradition and contemporaneity without losing the identity that has marked more than three decades of her career.

The repertoire revisits emblematic songs, transversal successes, and themes associated with projects such as Tribalistas, presented in original arrangements created especially for this expanded formation. The result is an engaging and moving show, designed to transform the arena into a space for attentive listening and collective celebration.
