Mariza, Plutonio, Vitor Kley, Ena Pá 2000, Rita Rocha and Pedro Mafama confirmed for O Sol da Caparica

For eight editions, O Sol da Caparica has brought the best of Portuguese music to the coast. The 8th edition continues to add great artists to a stage script that will be rhythmic for all tastes and genres. The agenda is guaranteed by its diversity and quality.

The Dom Tápparo stage confirms the return of Mariza’s fado for the 19th, a voice recognized by the four corners of the world with songs heard on stream thousands of millions of times.

Still within the confirmations for the Dom Tápparo stage, Lon3r Johny, initially announced for the 18th, now brings something new by performing alongside Plutonio, an artist considered one of the greatest Portuguese talents of today by his peers and the public that follows him, thus passing his performance for August 20th. This will be an exclusive concert where the duo will present themes such as “ANTI$$OCIAL”, which gives name to their recent project, “Ao Teu Lado”, “Não Os Vejo”, “Diamante” and “Uh La La La”.

The festival also unveils for Sunday the Brazilian singer Vitor Kley to light up the Red Tazz stage with “O Sol” and hits such as “Morena”, “O Amor é o Segredo” and “Menina Linda”, among others.

The Kavi Music stage receives the legendary band of the 80s: Ena Pá 2000, which has always been characterized by the irreverent lyrics of its songs, Rita Rocha, an artist who recently occupied the place of most played Portuguese music on the radio with the theme “Others Planos”, and Pedro Mafama, one of the voices of the Portuguese alternative music circuit for several years, known for his originality and disruptive sound.

The advertisements for Palco Kavi Music do not end there. On the 19th, two national hip hop artists will perform: the Porto rapper Gama, author of the single “Borboletas” which won his first gold award in 2020, and the emerging musician Guga, known for the theme “Amor Antigo”. It is their debut at the festival and they will take the stage together.

Still on the same stage, for Friday (18th), essential artists for world music fans were announced: Stewart Sukuma, one of the biggest names in Mozambican music and television, and the Guinean Tabanka Djaz, Bissau music ambassadors who gained international recognition. with more than three decades of career. They promise to provide a unique night to the sound of gumbé classics. The performance of the artist Valete, previously announced, was changed to the second day of the festival (18).

On the Red Tazz Stage, a tribute will be presented to the Brazilian singer Marília Mendonça, who since November 2021 has been in the TOP 3 Spotify Artists, being the first Brazilian artist to surpass the mark of 8 billion streams on this platform, and who stood out as one of the greatest representatives of the sertanejo. The tribute promises to recall her greatest hits, such as “Infiel”, “De Quem É A Culpa?”, “Todo Mundo Vai Sofrer” and many others that marked her career. It will be a unique opportunity for fans to relive the emotions of country music and honor the memory of Marília Mendonça.

Also on this same stage, but on the last day of the event (20), the talented Portuguese singer and songwriter Jéssica Pina will perform. She is known by many for her participation in the program The Voice and, later, in the Festival da Canção, her performances being characterized by being accompanied by the trumpet, an exciting element to her music and making each performance an unforgettable experience for the public.

“Encore” and Festival O Sol da Caparica, side by side with solitary goals, seek to join forces and break a record by being the biggest inclusive rock band in the world. A cause that brings together more than 1200 musicians, including 450 guitarists, 250 drummers, 400 vocalists, and 200 bass players to sing the anthem of the Sun. A project curated by artist Neev.

An ENCORE Guitar will be up for auction, which will be autographed by all the artists of the 8th edition. The value raised from the auction will revert in its entirety to buy musical instruments for children and communities that do not have the financial capacity to acquire them.

“Encore” and Sol da Caparica contribute in this way to the most ambitious and important objectives declared by the United Nations with a view to sustainable development.

The daily ticket varies between €20 for those over 65 and €26, and for Children’s Day, the price is €2.80. There are special prices for those registered in the municipality of Almada at €22/day.
The festival also offers different passes for the 4 days:

Family Pass (Includes Children’s Day) – 2 Adults and 2 Youths Up to 16 Years Old = 145€;
