Desgostos em Canções de Colo is MaZela’s debut EP, set to be released on the upcoming November 12. A harvest of uncertainties, pains, and transformations is celebrated and supported through songs and the sweet voice of Maria Roque.
In Lisbon, the presentation concert of the EP will take place on November 16, at BOTA – Anjos, and features the participation of A Garota Não. On this special night, the two collaborations between the artists will surely be heard: ‘Canção a Zé Mário Branco’, from the award-winning album 2 de Abril by A Garota Não, and ‘Entre Amor e Ódio’, from MaZela’s new EP.
In addition to Lisbon, the EP Desgostos em Canções de Colo will be presented live on November 15 at Maus Hábitos, in Porto; on November 22 at Cine-Teatro Avenida, in Castelo Branco; on November 23 at the Blackbox of CAAA, in Guimarães; on November 30 at Lúcia-Lima, in Cadima; and on December 7 at S.H.E., in Évora.
About MaZela:
MaZela arises from the search for balance between accepting pain and attempting to lessen it. While celebrating wounds, they take care of them.
The project, initiated in 2020 by María Roque from Alcáçeras, on vocals and guitar, features the participation of Alexandre Mendes, on guitar and production.
After debuting with the single ‘Naveguei’, released at the end of 2023, and the release of ‘Luz no Escuro’ in the summer of 2024, now arrives ‘Desgostos em Canções de Colo’ – the long-awaited debut EP, which will be released on November 12.
MaZela was also the big winner of the 2024 edition of the Festival Termómetro and participated in the festivals NOS Alive and Vodafone Paredes de Coura.
