MaZela is the winning project of the Termómetro Festival
Maria Roque’s project is the winner of the Festival in 2024.
The final ceremony, held this Saturday, May 11th at the Capitol in Lisbon, also featured performances by Vasco Ribeiro and Os Clandestinos and Filipe Furtado, as well as special guests: Paus e o Caos.
The jury included Álvaro Covões, Ana Lua Caiano, Beatriz Rodrigues, Cláudia Pascoal, Carlos Ramos (AKA Nick Nicotine), Catarina Palma, Henrique Amaro, Marisa Liz, Miguel Atalaia (Bons Sons), Nuno Calado, Rita Redshoes, Samuel Úria, Tiago Bettencourt, Tiago Castro and Vítor Rua.
The final prize will now take them to the Nos Alive, Bons Sons and also Paredes de Coura festivals, which joins, for the first time, the festivals that welcome new national talents distinguished by the Termómetro Festival.
MaZela, you will also have access to 10 hours of recording in a professional studio and a music video signed by World Academy students.
The 2024 edition had the participation of 30 bands and authors who performed on stages from the north to the south of the country, namely in Portel, Sabugal, Porto, Matosinhos, Aveiro, Alcochete, Odemira, Guarda, Lamego and Óbidos. And all these qualifiers would not be possible without the enormous support of local authorities and teams that hosted Festiva Termómetro outside Lisbon, over the last few months.
Since 1994, more than 500 bands and artists have participated in the Termómetro Festival, including Ornatos Violeta, B Fachada, Capicua, DJ Ride, Mazgani, Ana Bacalhau, David Fonseca, Noiserv, Richie Campbell, Whales, Salto and Tatanka.
The next edition is scheduled for March 2025.
The Termómetro Festival is organized by Cego Surdo e Mudo and is sponsored by Fidelidade and Repsol. It has the support of SPA – Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores and Antena 3, as the official radio. And also the Vila Galé, Movijovem and Toyota hotels.
