October marks a rare and special moment in the Portuguese music scene: for the first time, Mazgani will share the stage with Mick Harvey & Amanda Acevedo, in an unprecedented collaboration that brings together three distinct voices, yet deeply connected by artistic sensitivity and passion for song.
Although Mick Harvey previously collaborated with Mazgani on the album Common Ground (2013), this will be the three artists’ debut on stage together. The shows, which will be held on two exclusive dates, bring to Portugal the new partnership between Mick Harvey and Amanda Acevedo, who will perform songs from their acclaimed duets album Phantasmagoria in Blue, their most recent Golden Mirrors (a tribute to the legacy of the enigmatic Jackson C. Frank), and also Harvey’s latest solo album, Five Ways to Say Goodbye.

With a career spanning over four decades, Mick Harvey is an inescapable figure in contemporary music—a founding member of the legendary The Birthday Party and Bad Seeds, a close collaborator of Nick Cave and PJ Harvey, a composer of award-winning soundtracks, and a leading producer. Alongside him, Amanda Acevedo, a Mexican artist based in Melbourne, brings a delicate and captivating voice that has won international critics over with her profound and cinematic performances.
Mazgani, for his part, returns to the stage at a particularly significant moment: in late 2024, he released Cidade de Cinema, his latest work and the first entirely written and sung in Portuguese. With a solid discography and a career marked by demanding collaborations, international tours, and forays into theatre and film, Mazgani continues to establish himself as one of the most consistent and creative songwriters in contemporary Portuguese music.
Accompanying Mazgani, Mick Harvey, and Amanda Acevedo will be Pedro Branco (guitars), Isaac Achega (drums), Vitor Rodrigues (bass), and musician Georgio Valentino (guitar and keys), along with a small string section, promising nights of intense, intimate, and unique artistic sharing.
