ProfJam’s latest album, MDID, achieves its first award even before the celebration concerts at Aula Magna, scheduled for the 16th and 17th of February.
It was on the fifth day of the fifth month of the year 2023 that ProfJam revealed its fifth project under its name. 2024 is now starting in the best possible way for the Telheiras rapper: MDID (Divine Intervention Music) is already a Gold Record. Inside there are also several awards for the singles: “WUOW”, “Saca Lá”, “Dakar” and “Jamantah” are gold singles and “Cabaret” is a platinum single.
In MDID Mário Cotrim brought together 25 tracks in a single work and presented it in front of thousands of people, in Jardim Francisco Caldeira Cabral, outside the Telheiras metro station — the place where he had presented his first solo project, The Big Banger Theory.
The official MDID presentations are scheduled for a double session in the Aula Magna, a famous room belonging to the Rectory of the University of Lisbon, for the 16th and 17th of February. Two unique shows, focused exclusively on this Divine Intervention Music, in an amphitheatre chosen in the symbolic image of this “Prof”.
Ten years after the debut of his first full-length album under the name ProfJam, the MC already has a new studio album in mind: created more than four years ago, L.S.D. (Love Songs Die) returns to the artist’s creative agenda and, it seems, will be the successor to MDID. “RGTN”, the third single from this latest open project, is the latest release from ProfJam, which aims to leave another big mark in this new year right at the start.
