MED returns at the end of August

The MED Festival returns to Loulé in a reduced version between the 23rd and 29th of August, with the name of interMEDio, only one stage, two concerts per night, 14 artists, limited capacity and seating capacity.

The event starts on August 23, with the debut at the festival of the Portuguese Virgem Suta, followed by the Mexicans Kumbia Boruka, who are stepping on a Portuguese stage for the first time.

On the second day of interMEDio, August 24, Buba Espinho, presents the legacy of several generations of traditional Portuguese music and the Ukrainian collective Dakhabrakha returns to Loulé with its new Ukrainian folk sounds.

On the third day of the festival, Catalan Sílvia Pérez Cruz also returns to Loulé with her new work and the evening closes with a concert commissioned by interMEDio and that brings together Tristany & Prétu — (Portugal/Cape Verde).

On the 26th, Nuno Guerreiro returns to the stage with the debut of his new work ‘Na horacerto’ and the night ends with Moulinex, the alter ego of Portuguese producer, DJ and multi-instrumentalist Luís Clara Gomes.

On the 27th, Clã will present in Loulé a show completely different from what their faithful followers are used to, with Manuela Azevedo and companions wanting to show that they are much more than a pop-rock band and that they manage to move in other registers and in other musical dynamics where different sounds can be used.

The penultimate day of the festival welcomes the French-Algerian Tiwiza‘s debut in Portugal. Quinta do Bill invite Kátia Guerreiro, Rita Redshoes, and Pedro de Castro to come together on stage to celebrate more than 30 years of career.

The last day of the festival, August 29, features the Brazilian singer-songwriter based in Porto, Luca Argel, and Fogo Fogo the last performance of the event.

Tickets for the festival are on sale on Thursday, August 12, at and at Cineteatro Louletano a limited number of weekly tickets will be available, with a cost of 40 euros.
