Italian electronic music trio MEDUZA have revealed their long-awaited official UEFA EURO2024 song “Fire”, created together with Grammy-nominated group OneRepublic and German singer Leony.
“Fire” was written by OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder and produced by MEDUZA, blending the Italian group’s acclaimed house production with OneRepublic’s captivating soundscapes and Leony’s pop experience in a song that embodies the spirit of both football fans and of music. It is a celebration of unity, diversity and the joy of the UEFA EURO2024 championship.
Fans will have the opportunity to see the anthem performed live by the three artists during the UEFA EURO 2024 closing ceremony at the Olympiastadion Berlin on 14 July. MEDUZA said: “Now, more than ever, the power of music to bring us together is undeniable. As huge football fans, we are excited to combine our passion for sport with our music for UEFA EURO 2024.”
OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder said: “Today is a special day with the release of ‘FIRE’. We wrote it for football and music fans around the world, hoping it inspires us and brings us together as we count down to the UEFA EURO 2024.”
Leony commented: “I’m very excited about the release of ‘FIRE’! Growing up watching the championship with my family made me fall in love with football. With this edition taking place in my home country, Germany, being part of the song’s official championship is a dream come true!”
