Top national surfers return to action in Sintra with national title at stake
From the 25th to the 27th of June, the best national surfers are back in action at Liga MEO Surf, the main surfing competition in Portugal and the one that defines the national champions of the sport. Praia Grande will host the Allianz Sintra Pro, the fourth and penultimate stage of the MEO Surf 2021 League.
After being voted by the surfers themselves as the best stage of 2020, this year Praia Grande presents itself as an extremely important stop for the final stretch of the season, in the middle of summer. Vasco Ribeiro and Carolina Mendes are the yellow lycra, and consequently, leaders of the MEO Surf 2021 League ranking.
Allianz Sintra Pro 2020 in numbers:
– Stage Champions: Vasco Ribeiro and Teresa Bonvalot;
– 1274 waves surfed by 99 registered surfers;
