Today, October 2nd, the Restaurant El Olivo at the Meliá Braga Hotel & Spa brings together two renowned national Chefs, Chef Elísio Bernardes and Chef Diogo Novais, for a Wine Dinner that revisits the flavors of Portuguese cuisine, harmonized with Portuguese wines. Casa da Tojeira.
There are five signature dishes for this Wine Dinner with four hands, which highlights seasonal and genuine products, fresh. With a unique touch of creativity, Chef Elísio Bernardes and Chef Diogo Novais value products such as mackerel, mussels, sherry and sea bass, and Barrosã, for a dinner with a strong Mediterranean influence.
Executive Chef at Meliá Braga Hotel & Spa and SC Braga, Chef Elísio Bernardes develops signature cuisine in which he values ancestral Minho flavors, with a strong Mediterranean and creative influence. He worked with nationally renowned chefs, namely Chef Cordeiro and Chef Luís Américo, having passed by the Restaurant Book at Hotel Infante Sagres and Kasa na Praia.
Born in Minho, Diogo Novais is Executive Chef of the restaurants of the My Story Hotel’s hotel chain, in Lisbon and his cuisine is based on the appreciation of the traditional Portuguese cuisine, aspiring to the forefront of modern cuisine.
