“Melodia de Uma Noite” by Silvestre Fonseca in the film “Pegasus 2” by Han Han
The composition “Melodia de Uma Noite”, written by Silvestre Fonseca, was chosen by the prestigious Chinese director/producer Han Han to be part of the soundtrack for his new film “Pegasus 2”.
It is the first time that a Portuguese musician has had his work appreciated by billions of people, since “Pegasus 2” is the film that generated the most expectations in China for this year 2024.
With a notable career, Chinese director/producer Han Han is also recognized for his career as a writer, car racer and blogger with more than 500 million followers.
Remember that “Pegasus 2” premiered on February 10th in China, having raised several million dollars in just one day. The film has also premiered in other countries such as New Zealand, Australia, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, Japan and France. It will debut soon in Portugal and many other countries.
“This is the first time that SPA – Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores has signed a contract with China. It is an honour for me to have my work heard and appreciated by billions of people. Furthermore, in this haystack that is planet Earth, they found the needle in this small rectangle”, highlights Silvestre Fonseca.
Born in Lisbon, Silvestre Fonseca began his professional career in 1977, having since built a notable career as a guitarist and composer. Throughout his career, the Portuguese musician recorded 35 albums for the most important labels in the market. His works are studied in all music universities all over the world.
With a very busy schedule, Silvestre Fonseca has already performed numerous concerts in the Salão Preto e Prata at Casino Estoril. In recent years, he has also distinguished himself as organizer and presenter of the Grande Gala da Morna, a tribute to Cape Verdean music that this year will have its fourth edition at Casino Estoril.
