Melody Gardot released ‘C’est Magnifique’ with António Zambujo

“C’est Magnifique”, Melody Gardot’s new single features António Zambujo. The theme, released today, is the successor to “From Paris With Love”, “Little Something”, with Sting, and the most recent “Sunset in Blue”. Until the official video of the new single, recorded in Portugal, is released, the Lyric video can be seen here.

In May 2020, confined to his home in Paris, Gardot appeared in the newspapers by launching a casting invitation on his social media for orchestra musicians who could not work because of the quarantine restrictions of COVID-19.

With the help of these, she created a virtual orchestra and released her first single, “From Paris With Love”. The singer made headlines again in June when she made the first secure studio recording session as a preventive measure for COVID at London’s historic Abbey Road Studios, accompanied by the celebrated Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.

The new album, “Sunset in the Blue”, available from October 23, 2020, is an orchestral celebration of its jazz roots. Melody reunited with the production team with which she won several Grammy Awards with the album “My One and Only Thrill”, a team that includes producer Larry Klein, arranger and composer Vince Mendoza and the legendary engineer Al Schmitt.

The determination to create and evolve his art has always been a central theme in Melody Gardot’s work. This has never been more evident than during the production of “Sunset in the Blue”, because, despite all the obstacles, she was able to bring together a new and fascinating group of collaborations during this challenging time.
