Lunch Menus at Grupo São Bento – Bougain and Café de São Bento
As September is synonymous with returning to the city and its routines, Grupo São Bento presents lunch menu options for all those who don’t neglect flavour during their midday breaks.
The lunch menus at Bougain Cascais and Bougain Avenida (€35) feature some of their signature classics. At Bougain Avenida, the theme is freshness, with highlights including pumpkin salad for starters and sea bass or tartare for main courses. In Cascais, classics reign supreme, with tomato soup for starters and octopus à la lagareiro or steak Diane for main courses. For dessert, the profiteroles are always so irresistible that they appear on both menus.
At Café de São Bento (€29), in Lisbon or Cascais, tradition is maintained, and the steak, the eternal star of the menu, is the rule. Whether you prefer the Portuguese style or the irresistible Café de São Bento sauce, the choice will be difficult, but there are other options. Among the starters, the veal carpaccio stands out, and when there’s still room for dessert, the freshly made crème brûlée is always a fitting end.
Lunch menus are open Monday through Friday (excluding holidays), during each restaurant’s respective opening hours, and include a couvert plus a combination of starter and main course or main course and dessert. Water and coffee are also included.
