MEO Arena has just achieved a pioneering milestone by becoming the first arena in the world to receive the Speedtest Certified™, awarded by Ookla®, a global leader in connectivity intelligence.
This distinction recognises the technological excellence of MEO Arena’s wireless network infrastructure and confirms its ability to offer a high-performance digital experience to all visitors and event participants.
The evaluation was conducted on-site by Ookla® experts, through a set of independent technical tests that analysed download and upload speeds, latency, jitter, signal quality and stability, network configuration and security, as well as connection capacity. The result positions MEO Arena as an international leader in connectivity quality in large-scale cultural and corporate spaces.
With this certification, MEO Arena consolidates its position as the leading national infrastructure for large-scale events, setting a new standard for quality and performance in connectivity within the cultural and corporate landscape, ensuring connectivity conditions that support demanding applications such as high-definition streaming, video calls, real-time content production, and digital payments.
