Merc’Art will return to Lisbon, with works by 30 artists, in a container that will be installed between November 13 and December 22 at the LX Factory, for the first time with photography, the organization announced today.
Back in the third edition, this art market will bring together painters, street artists, illustrators, photographers and digital artists, Portuguese and foreigners.
According to Alexandra Quadros, curator and founder of the event, Merc’Art opens the doors to photography first, with works by Isabel Pinto, Paula Rosa and José D’Almeida.
In the illustration, André Carrilho, Luís Alegre and Sara Feio are present again.
The area of street art will be represented by Jorge Charrua and the Spaniards Boa Mistura, unpublished in Portugal, but known worldwide for their work in the favelas of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Colombia, and for their way of working, in close collaboration with local communities.
In the painting, Alexandre Alonso returns to be present, and they debut Duma Arantes, Cristina Troufa and Margarida Fleming.
In the plastic arts, Sónia Godinho and FalcaoLucas participate with work in the area of digital art.
Each of these artists created two original works of art that will be presented at Mer’Art.
Bina Tangerina, Flix, Hugo Makarov, Joao Rodrigues, Jorge Barrote, José D’Almeida, Luís Alegre, Madalena Cardoso, Nicolae Negura, Paula Rosa, Pedro Peixe, Rita Rovisco, Sofia Taboada, Teresa Canto Noronha and Tom Barry are other artists who participate.
