Microsoft abandons Internet Explorer in June 2022

Microsoft has announced that, after another 25 years, it will stop supporting Internet Explorer on Windows 10. Instead of this browser, Microsoft will bet entirely on Edge, a new version introduced in 2015.

Internet Explorer will not disappear entirely, with the Long-Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) version of Windows 10 continuing to include Internet Explorer next year. However, all versions of the operating system aimed at the consumer market will no longer have the application.
